A commonly used one is Firejail. It's based on profiles which basically define what the program can or can't access. There's a fair amount already defined, including KeePassXC. So it's as easy as running the command firejail keepassxc (there was also a GUI that was recently released for Firejail, if you find that easier to use). At the moment, I am using KeePassXC with a relatively strong master password. To further improve security, I thought about buying a YubiKey to have 2-Factor-Authentication. KeePassXC supports the so called 'HMAC-SHA1 Challenge Response mode'. In the KeePassXC FAQ they say: Does KeePassXC support two-factor authentication (2FA) with YubiKeys? Maybe I'm missing something, but I did the build and the installed version was 2.5.4, not the latest 2.6.0 yan12125 commented on 2020-05-06 13:40 Hi, could you remove the file keepassxc.install and its reference in PKGBUILD?
A bit more than half a year has passed since the last major release of KeePassXC, so today weare very proud to announce KeePassXC 2.5.0.
The new release comes with a large number of new features and improvements. A few key additionsthat are worth highlighting are the ability to create a paper backup of your database for safestorage of your credentials away from your computer, a brand-new database statistics panel, a redesignedunlock dialog, a reworked entry panel, a function to download favicons for all your entries at once, and username autocompletion based on known usernames from other entries.
In addition to that, we can now import 1Password OpVault files and support the useof the open-source OnlyKey hardware token as an alternative to YubiKeys.
KeePassXC on Linux can now also function as a credentials provider for libsecret-based clientsvia the Freedesktop.org secret storage DBus API.
The CLI has also seen a great deal of work making it one of the (if not the Textual 7 0 7 – lightweight irc client download. ) most complete and powerfulcommand line tools for managing KDBX password files. Besides an offline HIBPchecker for finding out if your credentials have been compromised, you can now also useyour YubiKey for unlocking a database and start an interactive session in which you can issuevarious commands to interact with your database. Further noteworty additions are new commands formanaging groups and a dry-run feature to preview changes before merging two databases.

With KeePassXC 2.5.0, we also end support for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, which saw its official EOL inApril this year. Our AppImages are now built on Ubuntu 16.04 instead and our minimum supportedQt version was moved from 5.2 to 5.5 accordingly, allowing us to use more modern features missingin older releases of the Qt framework.
